A woman is suspected of her husband's murder, and their son faces a moral dilemma as the sole witness.

Finally I had the chance to watch Anatomy of a Fall, a steady crime thriller with an enticing core story and a cast of incredibly captivating actors who delivered memorable and impactful performances. A gripping, chilling story set in the heart of Savoie, France. After winning the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, Anatomy of a Fall is a clear favourite for the Golden Globes and Oscars of 2024. The film is spoken in three languages, French, German and English. Nominated for four Academy Awards; Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Picture & Best Directing. The feature walked away with one win for Best Writing / Best Original Screenplay.

The cast are evidence of this films success, Sandra Hüller is demanding on screen - even when she’s doing nothing she is telling a story behind her eyes. She commands the screen and allows this feature to remain entertaining from beginning to end. This film demands your attention in the most realistic and enticing way. Although slow in its approach the plot revealing enough to keep you guessing.

You never quite known what the reality of this story is, you almost feel like the jury. Judging each character accordingly and desperately hoping you know the truth.

Anatomy of a Fall features the scene stealing pet character of Snoop. Snoop's pivotal role in the film's courtroom drama brings emotional depth and suspense to the story, having a deep connection with characters and like most animals in movies, encourages the audience to become emotionally attached.

The seven-year-old border collie took a seat at the 2024 Academy Awards, it was truly unforgettable.
