Newly released on Netflix, ‘A Man on the Inside’ (2024) tells the story of a retired professor who gets a new lease on life when a private investigator hires him to go undercover inside retirement home. Created by the legendary Michael Schur (Parks & Recreation, The Good Place), this series has a light hearted tone throughout and is executed through intelligent writing and hilarious performances.
Ted Danson stars as Charles, the charismatic lead who charms everyone around him. Danson was perfectly cast in the role and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him be bring emotion and comedy.
The series overall is slow paced but engaging, the plot is original and speaks to all ages. This series shines a light on the importance of finding meaning and purpose thorough all stages of life. ‘A Man on the Inside’ is a fun show to binge watch with the whole family.
