HHN 34 | Universal Studios Orlando Predictions

Halloween Horror Nights 2025 marks the 34th year of the event and predictions, rumours and leaks are starting to take the internet by storm. Universal Studios Orlando is awaiting the highly anticipated EPIC Universe park opening May 22nd 2025 - with this we are going to see four new lands brought to life, including a Dark Universe park. Dedicated completely the Universal Monsters, as this land and its characters are so beloved I feel like this is a perfect way to discuss my first prediction for HHN34.

Here are a few of my predictions…

  1. Universal Monsters: Dark Universe

Universal regularly bring their classic monsters to life at Horror Nights, the films and characters are a perfect for the event and I have no doubt they will be returning in 2025. We are yet to see a maze dedicated to Creature from the Black Lagoon and this is one I am dying to see alongside icons like Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolf Man.

Dark Universe will feature a Wolf Man attraction along with a ride set in Frankenstein’s manor, hosted by Dr. Victoria Frankenstein. This ride will feature all the classic monsters and I feel as though a house could be used to further promote the land and their new look for the iconic monsters.

  1. Terrifier

Art the clown is a beloved horror icon, with three successful movies and the most recent Terrifier 3 being released last year. It is highly likely we will see Art in his natural habitat this year, wreaking havoc on HHN34.

Clowns are a popular theme within HHN, from Jack the Clown hosting the event to Killer Klowns from Outer Space making several appearances. I think a Terrifier house would speak to fans and bring a gory, disgusting, never before seen house to the event.

  1. Blumhouse

Although we’ve seen several versions of Blumhouse houses, I do think Universal continue to succeed when it comes to Blumhouse. Last year we saw a Blumhouse scare zone which featured M3gan, The Black Phone, The Purge and more - the scare zone was brilliant for scares and photo opportunities.

Considering M3gan, The Black Phone and Five Nights at Freddy’s are all releasing sequels this year… it is highly likely Blumhouse will return with these titles. FNAF was a failed concept from 2024, sadly the house fell through but maybe we will see it return under the umbrella of Blumhouse?

  1. Scream

I have seen a few predictions for ghost face this year, although I do not agree I wanted to mention it. The Scream franchise is incredibly lucrative. Scream 6 (2023) was a major success and we can expect to see Scream 7 in 2027. Although, there have been several casting issues and online dramas to arise in relation to the feature which makes me think Universal would avoid promoting this franchise until its release in 2027.

I would love to see a scream house but part of me does not think it will materialise.

  1. The Last of Us

Yes, we have seen a house for this infamous television series in HHN32 but season two is set to release this year and The Last of Us is truly terrifying. I think this concept is a perfect fit for the event and I would love to experience those clickers in real life!

  1. Stranger Things S5

Although this is a top pick for me, I am not sure it will materialise. Halloween Horror Nights has brought us a total of three Stranger Things houses to date, one in 2018, 2019, and 2023. It would only be natural for the event to honour season five, the final season, with an incredible house! In saying that, season five does not air until October 10, 2025… meaning if they created this house audiences would not have seen the show until half way through the event. As much as I would LOVE to see another Stranger Things house, this may be a predictions for next years event.

Here are a few of my wishes…

  1. Goblin Feast 2

At HHN33 we saw Goblin Feast, an incredible house which took you through a cottage filled with hungry goblins, attempting to catch you and eat you for dinner. The house wasn’t one I was particularly excited for in comparison to Insidious and Ghostbusters but it absolutely blew me away. I was so impressed by the concept and the execution of the house, not necessarily the scariest but definitely the most enjoyable and easily my favourite of HHN 33.

I would love to see the creators of HHN bring this concept back to the event, bigger and better than last year. Everyone I spoke to at the event and after was so excited by this house and I know it will be a fan favourite for years to come. If it doesn’t return this year, I hope it does in the future.

  1. Fallout

The popular video game turned television series has become a global phenomenon and a series I am a huge fan of. Imagining Fallout as a HHN house is incredibly exciting and something I would love to experience, imagining The Ghoul in person and entering the bunkers! This could be a really cool edition to HHN 34.

  1. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Last year we were blessed with the long awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s masterpiece; Beetlejuice Beetlejuice would be an incredible house at this years event! Beetlejuice was featured at the 30th anniversary event in 2021 so it feels like enough time has passed to bring us another taste of Beetlejuice. Each year we see a least one less disturbing and more fun house and I think this could be the perfect option.

Thank you so much for reading my thoughts on Halloween Horror Nights 34, if you’re a fan of HHN like me please let me know your suggestions and if you’d like to read more updates on the event please let me know.
